The ‘80s and ‘90s’ romance novel cover would never be as good as it looked if not for Fabio Lanzoni. Why? He used to be a model for these covers that changed its theme to muscular men. At the time, the now-62-year-old star revealed he would have 16 cover shoots in a day without having any idea where his snaps would be used. He never saw those novels, so he was stunned when a group of women approached him and said he looked like the guy in their books.

The publishers seemed to use Fabio as their investment, knowing their books would sell 60 or 70% more when he would be on the cover. In addition to this work, Fabio is also an actor and spokesman, famous for his appearances as I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter brand’s spokesman, along with other causes.
